Oldschool4x4
If you were going to paint this the color on the box, what color would you use? Thanks
stitchdup
I'd probably try a pearl brown over gold/copper

Snake45
Does this look close? It's Testor Flaming Orange flake.

Oldschool4x4
Some great suggestions guys, like the root beer idea, Snake, never would have thought orange, but it does look like it when you take out the dark shadows in the art work.Think I might try mixing some brown with some orange and see what happens. Thanks
TarheelRick
I think I would try the Root Beer candy, if you can find it. Back when this kit first came out, candy color was "what you had to have to be cool." Just thinking about the Mazmanian Willys coupe, and some of the other "professional" gassers. But then it is your build , so go for it.
Snake45
I'm working on a model in Testor Root Beer right now--much darker than what you're looking for. But last night I ran across a can of Testor Bronze metalflake in the Snakepit that might be closer to what you have in mind.
