'Six Days On The Road'

Whose version of this classic do you prefer ( more than one is perfectly acceptable ) ?

Personally , I love the Flying Burrito Brothers take on this classic piece . Certainly , there's more than one version of the song by the F.B.B. ; however , I love this studio take :

Then there's the  Charley Pride version :

I've always been a Gram Parsons fan and like the Flying Burrito Brothers version  but this song belongs to Dave Duddley~ Uncut and uncensored

I've always been a fan of George Thorogood's cover, personally.

Although I do like Steve Earle's take on it too.

Turns out Tom Petty even did a version with Mudclutch!

The stereo version was a later re-recording - this is the original mono version:

For me, Dave Dudley owns the song.

The Charlie Pride version is a little bit of alright too!

I was going to say my favorite version is Junior Brown's treatment until, to my surprise, he hasn't covered that one. Hard to believe.

This is easy. Definitely the Matchbox version. Seen them five times in person and they're still very good!
