Snake45
Finished (I hope!) the final bodywork on the glue bomb Stupidbird, did my black pre-wash in the door and panel lines, and shot the first coat of primer.
ewetwo
I succeeded in putting my Foose pick up into the purple pond.
cobraman
While working on the front suspension of the Firestone Courier kit I managed to destroy the front end when trying to insert the metal axle. I will have to improvise something.
Tom Geiger
And I call “Double Squirrel” ! ? Still digging in the Jeep junk box! I saw a CJ6 had a 20” longer wheelbase and wanted to see what that looked like.. That led to sawing a Jeep body in half with intent on scratch building a rear half... then I looked at the wasted back half... And the next thing ya know the squirrel bit me again! Had the Tamiya green from my Chevette build.. not enough in the can to paint a typical model, but perfect for what I needed here! And a peak of what’s up next.. Spottedlaurel
Micromesh and resin polish treatment given to AMT Corvette and Impala that I currently have underway: Suspension and interior work now the main focus of attention. Weather looks rubbish tomorrow, might bring a limited workbench set-up into the house so I can do things in the warm, rather than take cold, wet journeys out to the shed. NOBLNG
I made some molds for casting some of the Willys parts.
NOBLNG
Cast my first pieces today. The tailgates came out nice, which were an open pour. The rest were 2piece squish molds. The dash came out not too bad...one bubble. The hood not so good and the floor pan...yech! This resin is from two half jars that I have had for probably over a year though, so all in all I’m encouraged by the results. De-gassing the silicone would have definitely helped also, but I don’t have a vacuum pump...yet.?
Tom Geiger
Great progress Greg! Ive been a measuring and a cutting on my new Jeep project!
NOBLNG
Interesting project you’ve got there Tom! The second try went better. The little goose bumps everywhere are from the resin (under 45psi) wanting to push its way into all the little air bubbles in my molds. The oily residue on the hood is apparently from the resin not being mixed well enough. I bought a used vacuum pump today so the next molds I make will hopefully be better. Brudda
Put this together. Most of the body to the agora super snake. Mr Obsessive was right about the doors. A pain. Going to take a break and then realign the doors.
89AKurt
Made Hella Supertone horns. Every Subie hot rod needs them. Anyone who is doing 3D printing should offer these, it's a tiny detail but think they would be popular for the import crowd.

Tom Geiger
A bit more work on the St John’s Island Jeep.. I have a step by step build thread going for folks who want to see how a body gets scratch built.
NOBLNG
This is a couple days worth of accomplishments. I made a lid from a piece of 1/4” plate steel I had laying around to convert my pressure tank to a vacuum chamber. I lucked out by getting a used Yellow Jacket 7cfm vacuum pump in perfect working order off Kijijii for roughly the same price as a cheapo chinese unit. My neighbour who is a refrigeration tech was kind enough to donate a connection hose for me. So I made the first half of the mold for the Willys cab. This one is nicely de-gassed, so hopefully no more goosebumps on the resin casting. Now I have to wait to get more silicone before I can complete the second half. hedotwo
Made progress on my '67 Impala 4dr rear-to-front seat conversion. I used my styrene slurry to fill the rear seat speaker and then finished the seat back. I'm not going to bother modifying the lower seat cushion to a front seat look, as I'm happy to just have the correct pleating instead of the tuck/roll the Supernatural came with.
