Danno Posted March 13, 2020 Author Share Posted March 13, 2020 Ray, We have no plans to cancel or postpone DSC16, at least NOT AT THIS TIME. We have carefully evaluated the issues and concerns, and we will continuously re-evaluate as things proceed. We are following the CDC, US Government, AZ Dept. of Health Services, and City of Phoenix evaluations and updates; we are taking everything into account and plan to make responsible and carefully considered assessments periodically throughout each day. Three of the major considerations are (1) Arizona has experienced only 9 cases to date, only two of which have occurred in the Phoenix/Maricopa County metro area - with 7.38 million population, it computes to a risk factor of .00012195%, (2) Arizona's official position as expressed by the Governor is that there is currently no indication of need to cancel events or gatherings, and (3) we're still a month away - with room to maneuver if need be. As it stands, DESERT SCALE CLASSIC 16 is ON! In fact, we're on track for an even better event than ever! Check out our website at www.desertscaleclassic.com for details. Certainly, if things change and indicate it is appropriate to do something different, we'll make an announcement at that time.
