Cheers HI Bruce it does look like a frame straightener Just needed something as a stable reference to check level and square as I added the suspension and wheel assemblies. The kit parts were semi mangled with separating them and removing contact cement so I lost some plastic and some attachment points...like all of them
Twokidsnosleep Posted February 10, 2020 Author Posted February 10, 2020 Ok so up on her wheels this weekend. Body dry fitted, hood not so great at the moment I had to make some threaded brass rods to allow these Fujimi wheels work...it was a lot of work to get the little nuts on the bolts!
Twokidsnosleep Posted February 11, 2020 Author Posted February 11, 2020 Cheers Gary and Bruce? She is coming along

Twokidsnosleep Posted August 15, 2020 Author Posted August 15, 2020 Back working on this again The Fujimi kit’s windscreen is too wide for this mould and it is thick and bulky I have roughed out two windscreens...styrene and a brass one. Both have their issues and may just work them both fully up. To me the plastic is too tall and the passenger bend is off. Needs more angulation as well. I am not good at styrene bending/forming The brass has good angulation, just needs more hood curve on the copper section to get the corners down This is what I am after Thoughts??
blunc Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 I think a set of these would look better than the fujimi borrani's

Thanks very much to you both Going to work hard on the brass/copper windscreen as I think that will look sweet Have made some some headlight bezels, but the actual clear glass is going to be the hard part as I haven't found round clear scrap big enough yet

Dann Tier Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Looking good, Bud!!!, i just made my windscreen frame from shaped styrene....worked a treat...BTW, i LOVE Fujimi's Borannis!!!!

That is a really nice 427. My dainty 289 is going to be a little less aggressive so the Borannis and narrower tires will work Still some scratching to do for missing bits. I do not have your clean touch for messing with with styrene so will use brass or aluminum
