V-100 (VIPED OUT)...Dust Collector Trade Project

Recommended Posts

I got this project from Sam I Am as a Dust Collector Trade (stalled projects)

This is a kitbash between a Little Red Wagon (Dodge A-110) and a Dodge Viper. Sam started blending the

two together, and I'll attempt to put some sort of spin on it here in Tennessee. Everything you see in the

above photo was done on Sam's workbench.  I may pester him a bit for more ideas as I go along.

I already have one helper onboard.....

How are you planning on handling the big gap on either edge of the interior?  That's the big issue I see right now.

That's what I started working on first. I have a couple ideas running around the old brain cavity. I'll get some pics posted a little later.

This is the Viper interior shell assembled as it comes out of the Viper kit, sitting in the cab of the A-100:

As you can see, there is some empty space all around between Viper parts and A-100 parts.

I decided to spread things out a bit:

I cut along each side of the console, separating into three pieces.

Using strip and sheet styrene, I will expand the interior into a wider piece to take up some of the space in the cab:

This is just an experimental mockup at the moment.

I was thinking the same thing with the interior tub. Now I am eagerly awaiting where you are going with that blank.

Right now, I'm drawing a blank! (Yuck, yuck, yuck!!) Seriously, I'm having fun working on this. If I mess up this blank, I have more sheet styrene available! LoL

One question I have is, what did you use for filler on the frame rails?

I have the interior tub pieced together:

The black markings show where the inside dimensions were when I started. Much less gap around it, now.

And....here's the blank after a few minutes work....
