Super Clean always amazes me.

Recommended Posts

I have been setting up my hobby room, which has allowed me to unpack and organize many boxes of models and get some things done that have been put off for years. One of which is stripping old paint in preparation of rebuilding.  This latest one was built by myself in 1980 and painted with rustoleum spray paint. 40 year old, HEAVY, paint.  6hrs in Super Clean and it is spotless.  I had forgotten it was molded in red. 🙄 Since I am telling on myself, I painted the interior green, and hand painted wide whites on the rallye wheels...🤮  What can I say, I was 13...

If you haven't already, put the hand painted white walls in the Super Clean also. I do this even with new tires as it gets rid of some of the shine on the sidewalls.

Thanks David,  I was thinking about trying that.

Found them, and the tires just went in the pond.

I look at the colors I painted this and the wide whites....man what a pimpmobile...

One of my side hobbies is restoring lamps that interest me and I use Super Clean A LOT to clean up grody things. This is a mid-century mushroom/UFO lamp that someone "refurbished" using the most disgusting texture paint under silver that was unbelievably inappropriate for the lamp. In Super Clean, the paint literally peeled off in sheets leaving the bare metal with all its minor imperfections clean as a whistle. I love this thing, it's so dieselpunk.
