JordanFordF1
Out of the blue I decided to build my first ever big rig model. Searching my stash I knew I didn't want it to be one of the higher dollar kits so when I came across the Revell Kenworth W900 I knew it was the chosen. Big rigs are harder than I imagined. I didn't worry about seams on the chromed parts and the paint came out poorly as did several other things but I did it, I built it, and now I know. The tires were warped so I won't take the fall for how badly they came out. On to better big rigs builds. Thanks for looking.
shoopdog
Turned out super nice, on to the next one! Every time I go to Hobby Lobby I have to refrain from picking this kit up, maybe next time. Edited February 5, 2020 by shoopdog
Jim B
All in all, I think it turned out ok. You learned some things on this one that you can apply to the next one.
Warren D
Looks pretty good to me. It's all a learning process. I look at the ones I built 40 years ago and usually end up rebuilding them.

JerseeJerry55
Nice job. I like the color. I am building the Revell Snap tite Peterbilt 359 currently. I saw a tip to use tissue paper to stuff into each tire to correct the shape. We’ll see if that works.

It is called 3/8" window backer rod available at home improvement stores. Less than $5 and can do probably 10 semi trucks.

I figure that you just cut it to size and fill?

And if your tires do not seem to want that much stuffing, you may trim it lengthwise as well. It scissors cuts very easily.

Seein' as I'm always in Home Depot browsing, anyway, just gonna have to pick some of this stuff up.... Now... If I could only ever remember why I stopped there, in the first place, I'll be all right.... ? This is a good looking build, Man... Big rigs are much harder than cars... Mostly why I got hook on them, anyway; but you'll figure it out... You'll screw some stuff up, and you'll knock some other stuff out of the park... Nobody starts out building the "perfect" contest model... Probably should have separated this post... Ooops... gatorincebu
Rusty, This one looks pretty good from where I'm sitting. But we are often our own worst critics. So take what you learned, and the tips and advice. Move on to the next build. Remeber to keep it fun as well ! Be Well Gator
TECHMAN
??? That is really a NICE build, forget the "first time"..... And the hint about "filling the tires" works quite well, tried that when was posted sometime back..... On to bigger things!!!!! DJ
