Nice video JC, I have a bit of French, but sadly no Italian either, but "multo bene" I do understand as being very good. lol

YouTube has a translator but it came up with some very interesting translations during the film.

I'd need to go out for a few beers before using that translator JC, but sadly the pubs have been shut in Ireland since last week....lol

They are closed here too Shay.

Created a channel for the tail pipes.  Not how Fiat did it but had the get the exhaust and the lowered rear suspension to coexist.

Also made cups to accept and positively locate the top of the struts.

  • I was fully expecting to need to scratch-build the roll cage but to my surprise the kit cage fits nicely.
  • My technique of using liquefied styrene as weld for joints is more obvious on the black plastic.
  • Made cups to accept the feet and more securely attach the cage.
  • Filled the roll cage mounting pin holes in the chassis as they would not be present on the 1:1

I had to devise a way to connect the body and chassis.  At the front I went with a hook and cleat.  The cleat is attached the body and the hook is the piece of angle attached to the front of the chassis.

At the rear I went old school a la AMT with a dowel and socket. The dowel is permanently attached to the body and the socket permanently attached to the chassis.

Great tips on the locators..

Cheers

Takes a little trial and error to get them lined up but they work great.
