This was the reissued Lindberg kit.  Really a nice kit overall, fit was excellent on most everything. Finished in Testors Extreme Mythical Maroon with Wet look clear.  Really like how a lot of the trim was actually chrome which limited having to foil or molotow larger areas.  Engine was done with VHT engine paint - as it was the closest I could find to a bronze.  0314200826.thumb.jpg.2987a13146a752d37bcc065ff9d367f5.jpg0314200826a.thumb.jpg.b3f8fbe0ac6033f273cf3d84855229ca.jpg0314200828c.thumb.jpg.532a810ecc7f42e373b64311e19ccaa2.jpg0314200829.thumb.jpg.564a38fd7dbf0068b56209193dda4d87.jpg0314200829a.thumb.jpg.d02a0dc5bd9255c197a73bc8f32a91bf.jpg0314200829c.thumb.jpg.61a817fbf78adf7b33495d255b658b90.jpg0314200830_HDR.thumb.jpg.4c63e89c91dcc360c4e32810081333e8.jpg0313200751ac.thumb.jpg.6263fd73dfa02553d96a0b1671de2d48.jpg

I really like how this turned out.  These cars look awesome in a number of colors, but I think they flat out rock in medium to darker reds.

Question:  would you mind sharing the P/N for the engine paint?  I would've thought VHT paint might be too hot for styrene.  Did you do anything special to prevent any damage, or did it just go on without any issues?

Sure - its VHT SP402 Burnt Copper.   I tested it on some scrap and it didn't stick well.  So I tried it with a red oxide primer and that did the trick.  I think any decent primer would work - I was out of grey or white.  It didn't affect the final color though.
