He worked for De Agostini. He brought the 1/10 Toyota 2000 GT and the 1967 GT 500 to DeAgostini. Great models. The DeAgostini GT 500 and the Agora model Super Snake are very similar. The 1967 Super Snake is a one of a kind . It brought 2.2 million on the auction block last year. The quality of this kit is super. Paint finish is superb. Laid out the parts for you to see. The paint on yours from my end look exceptionally smooth. My kit while very nice, the paint to my eyes is slightly orange peeled. When I get back into full swing building on mine, that will be on the to-do list.........rub out and polish the paint. Keep us posted! I did do some painting of the door jam. Painted it testors white in a airbrush. I had a Shelby ,and leaving the door jam Black was not going to be on this car. Love the kit. I got some extra paint for my Midnight Blue Shelby for a similar reason. I want to be able to paint areas that should have paint on them............for instance the wheelwells on the inside of the trunk and the slight overspray on the chassis. I'm looking to do get started on that again in the very near future. Got one of those 1/8 Eaglemoss Mercedes 300SL gullwings that's been tying up my attention lately. I ordered it 10 days ago and it should arrive next week. I opted to purchase it outright as opposed to the subscription service approach. I was going to prime the chassis red oxide primer but a friendly reminder from my friend Mark that I am supposed to do this out of the box with no mods. After the car is complete. Pictures taken and recorded , I can do what I want with it. So I just did the door jams and the rest is going to be as the kit comes. Their are Micro switches for the brake lights that work and the accelerator pedal that has engine sounds. The seat belts snap in place. And release . Seats move forward. Actually the house I moved to is actually smaller than the one I was in before. Downsized a bit as time marches on and I don't really need so much house. I DO need more shelf space for them and definitely cases to keep the dust off of 'em. Interesting that your chassis is painted black. D'Agostini painted my regular '67's chassis in the red oxide primer. That saves a lot of work as I did want to do the slight overspray like I mentioned in the midnight blue. Thunderbolt was the name of these tires. (White walls)For regular passenger cars. A advertisement for Goodyear. Shelby asked Fred Goodell (shelbys chief engineer) to put a ford GT mk 2 427 into a regular Shelby Mustang. A super snake was born. Tested in Texas the Shelby went 170 mph. Fred Goodell averaged 142 mph for 500 miles. Test successfull. Only one super snake made because of the cost of the mk2 427 engine. $7500 for the car which was well into the 427 cobra territory. The only Shelby Mustang to have a tri stripe . Fast forward to today. The 1967 super snake went for 2.2 million at auction. A very brief story on the car.
