Revell 69 Corvette "429" Coupe

I just finished up the first model I have built in probably 10 years. Its the 1989 issue Revell 69 corvette with the box misprint that says 429 instead of 427. The quality was pretty poor on some parts on this kit, the chrome is very lite and you can see the red plastic through it in some spots. The tire halves were also misaligned when being formed so they were all out of round. I'm happy with the final result though. Its painted with some old Color Extra spray bomb I found in the basement haha.

Tomatoe , potato... Haha .

It certainly is closer to Monaco Orange ( et alia ) , but I was trying to be clever by stating a generic 'red' .

It is orange, "Engine Enamel-Orange" according to the can haha

Kudos for some nice work with this kit.  I've never heard of Color Extra paint, but it's obviously good stuff.

I'll echo Snake45's comment about the wheels:  just a touch of argent paint on the wheel surface, some flat black in the slots and a light wash of black in the cap fluting and you'll take a great build up another notch.

Based on what you've shown here, I'd love to see more of your work.
