In a sick, very perverse way, I like it.

Needs the hood "scoop" popping through the hood, sideways. ¬†It's a design by committee, so you better consider all suggestions.¬†ūü§™

The Aztek was the result of several focus groups that GM had with young buyers who couldn't afford to buy a car anyway.  Then they took the most bizarre suggestions from these groups and created the Aztek. I with hold my personal opinion, but who ever let this creation hit the showroom is also partially responsible for the demise of the Pontiac Motor Division and should have to give up their company retirement benefits. Something more on the order of Mike 1017's picture might have sold a few.

I really like this. It's the best looking Aztek I've seen. Most creative too. I'd like an Aztek. It would need to be budget priced but I'd drive it.

Yea, lipstick on a pig alright, but in this case I think is works.  I don't know how or why but the looks are greatly improved.  It actually does something the original doesn't.  It makes it a cohesive design, not the hodgepodge of pieces of that make up the original.  Of course the high gloss black paint doesn't hurt.  I would never buy one, period!  There is an old story out there, that I have never confirmed, the these were executive cars at Pontiac HQ.  The exec's were forces to live with the most monumental design screw up in the company as punishment for producing the darned thing.

IMHO someone should start by cutting it in half both ways, then weld it back together If that doesn't improve it's looks...keep doing the same thing to it over and over and over till it's gone..or just flush the remains..

Ya know what, many modern cars are so ugly, the Aztek doesn't even strike me as particularly offensive any more. It was ahead of its time!

...and I actually like this version!

Totally on board with this one.  Why all the fuss about the Aztek when this aesthetically confused little swamp rat slips quietly into the night?

Up here in Winnipeg I still see at least one a day, sometimes more. Spoke to several owners and was surprised they really like them.

That one ain't even close to being the worst offender!  But I appreciate your colorful turn of phrase :) Plus, there's a Juke in the family, so I've had time to make my peace with it.

Looks like there are ways to make this work.

Never liked the Aztek.  Like that Smokey Bandit Aztek, except for the taillights.

Variation on the above Rain Prisk design, from "Adry53" at DeviantArt  https://www.deviantart.com/adry53/art/Pontiac-Aztek-Super-Sport-671709041

Now these two are VERY cool looking. They look like they would make great road track cars.
