Twokidsnosleep
So next up on my desk during this forced viral isolation, the F40 I started this kit in 2015 and am determined to get it finished this time. Here is what I did back then Edited April 18, 2020 by Twokidsnosleep
Twokidsnosleep
I focused the start up on finishing up the interior..black with carbon fibre
Twokidsnosleep
Originally I was doing a black on black Gas Monkey Garage F40, but I just did the 288GTO in black. So now I am going to go this direction
dbostream
Excellent so far, blue looks like a good chose to me.

Twokidsnosleep
Thanks guys for the encouraging comments Wheels are painted gloss black and valves added. Rotors drilled and painted gold Then bagged up along with the interior to protect them...from me
Twokidsnosleep
Rear shocks re vamped with better coils...kit shocks were pathetic. The moulded coil lines didn’t line up on the mould halves and were very shallow. It would have been really hard to paint (LHS shock is the before in first picture) Indexed things with a brass pin
jaymcminn
Great work so far, I don't think I've ever seen the 1/16 F40 built up. The detail you've added in is excellent, and I think blue is an excellent choice for the F40. I could see this looking really good in Tamiya Mica Blue! Very lovely La Ferrari I do have the Tamiya Mica Blue...will shoot some spoons and decide what to use I remember seeing a real 360 Spyder in blue Vancouver quite a while back now and it struck me how nice the lines of a Ferrari were in different colours Edited April 22, 2020 by Twokidsnosleep

Twokidsnosleep
Got the body started with seam removal and filler. The rear wing had a healthy seam/gap when cemented on so is well puttied up The rear clip is done and cemented in place lots of test fitting I am all over the place building this, making it in different sections to their completion so I can then put everything together. Hoping this focuses me better for more details and quality I also plastic bag the sections so I don’t mess with them too much, rub off paint or get them dusty
