cruz
Had a fun time building this one, really liked the way it turned out. Color is original from factory called Chamonix White mixed by MCW with no clear. I decided to go a different route with the tires and wheels. They are actually aluminum sleeves with plastic centers. The centers are from the 1979 Monogram 1/24 scale Camaro with a few modifications to open them up a bit by drilling them. Tires were sent to me by a good friend. I ordered RB Motion rivets for the flares. I also modified the stance a bit to acquire the rake you see. I decided to remove the chrome on the body trim and added Bare Metal Foil instead for a cleaner look. Be patient with the decals on this kit, these are very thin and fragile. Hope you guys like it....

89AKurt
I have that kit.  Great job on the paint and trim.  I like the wheels too, but don't see the tires. ?

ChrisR
Very nice, but the tires doesn't do it for me!
DonW
Excellent although I must agree with those views on the tyres. But I love the build - and I second your view on the fragility, I gave up on mine having tried to modify the one I had to match my 1:1 2002ti Alpina, The A and B pillars kept braking as I recall. Rich Chernosky
Â Very Nice. Just happen to have this one on my bench right now so the tips will come in handy. Like the changes and attention to detail. Mine will be box stock except for the paint which is already done. Thanks for putting this up.
Italianhorses
Looks great! Being a BMW purist, I'm not a fan of blingy wheels and chrome plated rivets on the wheel flares, but overall its a great looking build. This is such a classic, I think it looks best in classic form. But excellent job on it.

cruz
Thank you guys, I wanted to sort of recreate a JDM type of car and do something a little different. That's the reason for the choice of tires..... Edited May 11, 2020 by cruz

randyc
Friend of mine had a 1:1 imported gray market many years ago.  THat was a very special car.  Love seeing these.  Maybe someday for the kit for me...

beeRS
Beautiful clean build. I love the wheels, stance, and the use of aluminium rivets. These, really help it stand out. Ive never seen a heated rear screen like that before. Is it part of the kit?

Should've left it off but the real ones did have the defroster lines at the rear.....
