Anyone ever attempt the Jimmy Lyle, Quad Al 4 Allison engine monster? 😳  Where is the gas tank?

A quick Google search reveals the gas tank was not needed because the engines had no internal parts. The car was a show piece only.

Kurt , the restored car shows  a moon tank below the side exhaust. Google Jim Lytle "Quad Al" Dragster , there is a nice Utube video of it!

Oh yea, those would last 0.26 of a mile. 😅  I'd like to know how the steering worked.

Not sure, but I'll bet under full throttle there would be a whole lot of torque steer.

I suspect the front two engines drove the front axle and the rear two the back axle.

So it would cancel itself out. 

However, it might overheat in traffic with that grille blanked off...!

Seriously it's a crying shame this never got built up to run.
