1970 AVS Shadow (Can-Am)

Recommended Posts

Well, I have finally finished my Shadow.  Been fun to build and I would like to thank my mate Roger for the kit and his friend Walt for giving it to him. Apart from the mirrors, from my parts box as the Raydot style were incorrect, and opening all the major vents it has been built box stock.  Great decals from Michael at Indycal and finished in auto acrylic with a clear coat. Now it's back to the fliptop Cobra body!!

Rich, you'll enjoy building yours, get on with it!!

Tks for looking

That's a unique car you built and a very nice job on it. The real picture really helps to show the accurate work you did. Thanks for sharing it.

Dave.....that certainly turned out sweet. You are right...I will have to start on mine....now that I know how do-able it is. Thanks for posting the WIP  and all the inspirational help.

Great build. I am a huge fan of Can Am and the Shadow was one of the more unique and coolest ever made.

Very well done indeed.  It is hard to imagine the actual size without a reference point.

Shadow...

My all time favorite team. F1, Can-Am, whatever they did was always over (or under) the top.

here is a extremely short video, what a machine.

That still is one of the scariest race cars built of all time.

Almost like a goKart with an oversized big V-8 (imagine this directly behind your back if you were the driver...)
