RancheroSteve Posted June 24, 2020 Like the title says - I'm looking for the fender skirts and the convertible boot from any issue of the AMT '36 Ford that has those parts, so that I don't have to buy a whole OOP kit to get them. Let me know what you need in return. Thanks.
RancheroSteve Posted June 24, 2020 Looks like someone has the boot for me. Still looking for the skirts.
stitchdup Posted June 24, 2020 if you cant find the skirts you should be able to make your from an old body. just use a bit of masking tape on the fender to get the shape you want then use the tape to mark it on a door or roof that matches the fender curve. Thanks. Yes, I may resort to scratchbuilding them.
68shortfleet Posted June 24, 2020 I've got a set of skirts. Since it sounds like you are building a convertible. Would you trade the coupe top?
RancheroSteve Posted June 25, 2020 They're actually for two different builds! The convertible boot is going on a whole 'nother car (not a '36 Ford). I'm building a chopped '36 coupe using an aftermarket top, but I had to remove the insert from the stock top, so it's got a big hole in the top. This will all make sense once I update my work in progress threads! .
