porschercr
Looking for suggestions, on where I could find an intake manifold similar to this one. I've looked at the Revell 427 parts pack, and it seems that it's dual carbureted and the radiator inlet is on the opposite side. Thanks, Trevor
1972coronet
The looks like a Windsor-based intake . That can't be an FE-Series engine ; those engines ( 352-360-390-406-427-428 ) have the rocker arms covers "overlapping" the intake manifold . Force
Yes that's correct, it looks like it's a 289-302 (5.0) or 351 Windsor, because it's definately ot a FE. But a correct FE intake should have the water inlet on the same side as this one has, but it's a totally different engine than this one is. Ace-Garageguy
The engine in your photo is a very special Roush 427 based on the Windsor smallblock (289-302-351W-etc) design. https://www.roushperformance.com/engines/427-r.html It is NOT an FE-based engine, as were the production 427 Ford engines (the engine represented by the Revell parts-pack kit). The big visual tipoff to identify most FE-based engines is the fact that the outer edge of the intake manifold forms the sealing rail for the upper edge of the valve covers. This smallblock manifold (below) is similar to what's in your photo: Edited July 5, 2020 by Ace-Garageguy

Yes they are very wide...and heavy, not so much the aluminum intakes but the cast iron ones weighs a ton.
Deuces ll
Ain't that the truth..... I had to change intake gaskets on a Ford tow truck once..... ??
