jjsipes
Next up, Revells 1979 Charger. Testors Green Go Lacquer and Ultra Gloss Clear. Will have a Black interior. Kit has nice Redline tires but will keep them for another build.
Gumball
Nice colour! I always find that the old Mopars look great with the Redline tires and some 4-5 slot old school steel rims.
beeRS
Good paint job! That green really suits the Charger.

espo
AH, the MoPar colors of old. You would never miss your car in a parking lot. This color looks strong on this Charger and shows the body lines well. So what sort of tire and wheel combination are you going to use ? jjsipes
Thinking a set of Amt Parts Pak Goodyear Polyglas White lettered and either a set of 5 spoke mag of some sort or just I'm leaning toward the stock Magnum wheels for a stock look. I wasn't around back them but to me the red lines say 60's not so much 1970. Edited July 15, 2020 by jjsipes
drodg
Nice paint job. I think that green looks pretty close to Sassy Grass Green ? Maybe? This appears to be a really nice kit that builds well. The red lines were not an option after 69 so you are right about the polyglas rwl tires.

Redlines went the way of high-button shoes by 1969 ( the last year that Chrysler used them ; AMC as well , IIRC ) . They are "incorrect" on any 1970 & later stock vehicle , being akin to Wide Whites on a vehicle built after 1961 . Raised White Letters tyres were the newest thing (white walls continued as well ) by '69 - '70 .

I’m just about finished with this 500 conversion. It’s the Daytona kit with fenders and hood from the 69 Charger. Wheel covers from Fireball Models. I took the decal back off and ordered on from Keith Marks. Edited July 24, 2020 by Superbird McMonte
Deuces ll
Lookin' good!!!.... ?? I'm a little curious if that Charger 500 body will fit the more modern AMT '71 chassis which has lots better detail..... ?
