Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA

Recommended Posts

I just finished this build today. A Tamiya kit that I picked up unstarted for $15 and built for my wife. She liked the little car and picked out the paint. It is Rust-Oleum Marigold. The only changes to the kit were spark plugs wires (which ended up interfering with the hood, so I had to thin the center of the underside of the hood. It looks like the hood is sitting high in the front but this is actually a design feature of the hood.

Hope you like it. Comments and criticisms welcomed.

Very nice work Tom, it looks really good. Looks like there are some delicate details to handle on it.

Very nice build,  when I came to England in 1976, my English teacher had one of these in pretty much the same colour,  loved the car, not the teacher so much......

Looks great! That's easily one of my favorite Tamiya kits so it's always good to see one built.

Very cleanly built. Beautiful looking paint and the under hood details look great.

Very nice.  I've often looked at one of these, how was the construction?

Thanks. The kit went together beautifully. I didn't have any trouble with it at all.

Very nice! Great color choice.

What clear did you use over the Rustoleum?

Thanks. I used Testors Wet Look Clear over the paint.
