1968 Bobby Isaac Charger

Recommended Posts

While I'm waiting on the paint to dry on the Waltrip car! I thought I'd start something new, the '68 Bobby Isaac K&K Daytona 500 car. The body will be from the Revell 2N1 kit. The chassis will be made from a AMT 69 GTX Super stock kit, I got the chassis cheap! The chassis will require a lot of modifying, but that's the fun part to me. If anyone has any clear pix of the bumpers and grille of the '68 Charger I would love to see them. As always Thanks in advance!!

Started to try making a Nichels chassis out of the super stock chassis. Cut away the frame rails the areas to be rebuilt!

Does anyone know if this car ran the short rear spoiler at Daytona?

Nice project Gerald, keep in mind what Steve said, the race car body and a stock showroom body is quite different when it comes to the wheel openings as the race car is massaged some in that area.
I have plans to do a K&K Insurance car but the 69 Charger Daytona and maybe the Charger 500.

Finally got all my update parts cast for this project! Hopefully I can get back to building the car, as soon as I fill orders.
