Mini Exotics had a trans kit for the old AMT 68 Shelby to make a 67.  It might fit the newer AMT kit but the problem is Gerry sold the photoetch about 30 years ago.  That’s the only one I know about.  MCG does a set for the 67 stock Mustang GT and the Bullitt Mustang but I have never seen the 67 Shelby set.

Model Car Garage used to do a very nice one. it's featured at the top of the home page of their website but strangely,  it's been out of production for years. It had 3 grilles, one with the holes at the outer ends, one with them in the center and one with no holes.

You might be able to find one on e=bay maybe??

Or possibly try contacting them to see if they still have any or could make up more. I'd like to have one myself.

Weird that somehow I missed that set.  I know there was a MCG set for the 69/70 Shelby.  I guess I am now on the hunt for a MCG set myself If this unicorn exists.  Please let me know if you find any.  Thanks.

Actually MCG announced that set about 4 years ago but it never came out just like the Thunderbird set shown right next to it in the header.

For a minute there I thought I missed the set.  Now that I think about it that’s pretty unlikely. 🙂
