Is there any truth to this or rumor? Model King and Moebius planning on a future release of 67-72 Chevy trucks.

I'd be fine with the collaboration.

But please, don't let Model King design the box art!!!! 👎

Lets back up a little bit.  Who cares how Model King designs the boxart.  We need to applaud the Model King for doing what he is doing with model kit companies.  If it wasn't for him and his financial backing of model kit companies we would never have seen exclusive kits come out ie; HUG, altered wheelbase Falcon, Pontiac Tempest and now the Mobius Ford pickup trucks. His partnership with the kit companies has been stellar.

True, I can get excited about the subjects he sponsors, but he really needs to let someone with experience do the boxes!

All of the Model King releases with Moebius as well as the '57 Ford with Revell have excellent box art, IMO. The earlier efforts where he didn't have a big budget are a bit clunky, agreed, but I would've loved being in some of those photos!

Why risk  potential lost sales due to poor box art?  IMO, great box art ( early 70's trucks ) was a big motivator in purchasing these kits. Later  year box art was not very inspiring and probably not very good for sales either!

How about something other than the big 3?? Studebaker, International, Willys......ANYTHING!!

Steven, Those trucks were covered by the "Mints" (Danbury-Franklin) Back in the 90's and Aughts. If Diecast is not your thing, I suspect you'll be waiting a long to time to see any tooling money spent on plastic kits. I agree with you about how nice it would be to perhaps have them in plastic, but I don't see the sales justifying the tooling costs.

My Wants would be Satisfied by a Dodge Powerwagon 1946-1953 or so.
