Man, you finished it!!! Awesome looking truck... Excellent color choice, too... Really looks good sitting on that yellow frame... Great subtle weathering, too.... Man, those wheels and tires look good.... The steers fill out the wheel wells nicely, and the drives just look amazing!!! Seriously awesome work...And that Grille!!!

Brian, I think you captured the "old fleet look" perfectly.  Your 358 looks great.  Very well done.

Thanks Jim! My favorite builds are fleet builds!

Love those old "narrow nose" Petes!!!   AWESOME job on the build!!!  Was it 1965 when they introduced the 358???

Thanks DJ!

If I'm not mistaken the 358 was made from 1965 to 1976. Peterbilt also offered a conversion kit for the 351 to switch it from a butterfly hood to a 358 tilt hood. With that said, I "assume" there may be other year models that began life as a 351.

As I commented on the Model Truck Builder forum, you’ve got the perfect balance of weathering to make it incredibly realistic.

 Thank you Vincent!

Another flawless achievement, I like the unusual colour combination and particularly the grille.

Thanks so much! The grill came with the hood when I bought it, but I believe someone may have added it extra. I’m thinking that it may have been a product from Ben Wicker but I am not sure.

A beautiful everyday rig, well built and really nicely painted. I particularly like how authentically you have reproduced the grease on the 5th wheel

Thanks! I used grey/black silicone.
