Super28
Just got a couple of things I found or saw. First one is a trip to Dollar Tree. Found these paint thingys, great for mixing small amounts of paint for details Also a cutting board to keep from cutting on my desk. Being from Dollar Tree, they're a dollar each
Super28
Next I saw this somewhere, maybe here in the forum. Can't remember, senile. Anyways the top to a rattle can, or that least Rustoleum, has a center perfect for those little square Testor's bottles we all have a million of. Just cut the outside down to the same size as the center. Also cut down a plain cap for the Tamiya and Master Modeler's paint jars. To stop those nasty "knock overs" we do. Hope it helps someone

El Roberto
I like the spray can lid holder idea. It's one of those "why didn't I think of that" ideas.
Super28
Same here. No more cussing over knocked over jars!
TarheelRick
Since I am beginning to get the "old man" shakes in the hands that paint bottle holder idea looks really good and I have plenty of lids from empty cans.

El Roberto
Has anyone ever knocked over a bottle of Tamiya thin cement on top of a sheet of decals? Just a little tip, from someone who knows, it doesn't do the decals any good.

NOBLNG
If you have a battery powered mixer you can put an empty TP tube over the bottle while mixing. That way, when you lift the mixer out you don’t spray little paint droplets everywhere. Using a mixer also keeps paint off the lids as opposed to shaking them, so the lids remain easy to remove months or years later.?

Just shut the mixer off before taking it out and paint won't go spraying everywhere too

PHPaul
I like the TP tube/paint mixer idea. I too am too cheap to leave a drop or two of paint on the mixer. Besides, it makes it easier to clean.
Joe Thomas
Another tip to prevent paint bottle disasters. Use a roll of electrical or other tape.
