‘72 to ‘76 Dodge Club Cab

Recommended Posts

This has been a long project of mine that is getting closer to the finish line.
It started with me buying a project from someone who claimed it was ready to be cast. What I got was a pile of junk that required lot of work to get it right and thanks to Mike Schnur who fixed all of the issues with the Club cab.
I also had to fix the issue with the chassis and the interior tub was done with the help of Glen Ford and none of this would have been possible without the help of master caster himself Greg Wann!
Thank you all for your help with this project guys!!
This is where we are at the moment.
The Club Cab, interior tub, chassis, grille’s for the 72 to 73 and 74 to 76 and bed molds are done.
We are moving on to make the rest of the molds needed for this trans kit. Hood, tailgate.

And yes short bed’s are in the works as well as the chassis for them.

How will I be able to determine when these are ready for purchase? Is there a site I can check?  I'd hate to miss out.

X2!

Plus, how much longer before the short bed and chassis are ready, would love one of those too. Knowing Greg Wann is involved means a lot, he does some great work!

You can send a email to hgresin@gmail.com and I will put you on the list. As for the short beds? I'm not sure yet.

Thanks, Marty

Okay we have set a price on this trans kit. It will be $100 shipped if you choose a plain resin grille and $110 if you want the grille in clear resin.
Kit comes with cab, interior tub, long bed, tailgate, hood , valance, chassis and your choice of 72 to 73 or 74 to 76 grilles.
If interested please send email to hgresin@gmail.com to be added to the list.

That trans-kit looks great Marty!

I have a question:  when making masters how do you guys model the scripts, like the nice well-defined one on the bed?  Are those photo-etched metal, or some other material?

Not to butt in, but that trim was present on the original issues.

We started with original MPC parts, that bed is a copy from one of mine kits that has the trim on it.
I just have a few old MPC Dodge truck kits.
I have added 5 more since this photo was taken.

I see a couple of 1974 Duster kits up there.  Any chance you have a 1975 or 1976 Duster MPC kit?  There's some parts I need for a build on those kits.  Mostly the grill.

I've also send this pics to a few Dodge Truck fans...

Thanks,

DusterJoe

Marty, have you guys thought about offering a transkit to backdate the available Dodge van to a mid'70s version.

There seems to be some interest in vans again and we know the chances of Round 2 backdating the kit are slim to none.

Maybe also offer some options for it like a fender flares and air dam kit and possibly a custom tube grille front end.

I don’t have the 75 or 76 Duster kits. Just the two 74’s and a 73.
Some day I plan on building a model of my 74 Duster. M

I've got a Duster promo the same color! I also have those wheel covers. If you're so inclined, Krylon Short Cuts Bonnet Blue (spray enamel) is a very close match. (KSCS070)

Thanks I have some Scale Finishes paint in the Powder blue for it. But I’d like to see those wheel covers?
