1970 Plymouth Roadrunner with 440 Six Pack (Revell Monogram 1/24)

Hey all,

I built the 1/24 70' Roadrunner (actually it's first Revell kit that I built) - it comes with 440 Six Pack, and I added missing hoses made of regular wires, 1/24 wires for ignition & battery wires, and used end of capsule bulb to mimic brake lines coming out of master cylinder.

I cut off the molded door handles and sanded off chrome molding around wheelhouse was painted with Tamiya TS-57 Blue Violet and Tamiya gloss clear spray cans. The interior was painted in flat black then seats were masked then painted with squirts of gloss paint to mimic vinyl material.

Hope you enjoy!

nice build, great color, the paint looks fantastic

Thanks, I had a 1/3 can left and this was the only kit that could pull that color off!

Looks great! Nice clean build and a nice smooth paint job!

Jumping from 2000grit to polishing compound left some micro scratches, and I just bought 3000 grit sanding foam to fix that issue!

Great detail under the hood. Very nice build

Thanks. These 1/24 kits beg for extra details!

Great looking paint work and the color looks good with the black hood stripes. The wheels you used, were they in the kit ?

Thanks. The kit comes with two wheel choices (Mopar mag 500 wheels and stock dog dish) and I used the dog dish one.

Nicely done Chang, I have the Monogram '70 GTX in my stash, it'll probably be next after my Buick GS builds.

Thank you so much! I actually really like the Monogram 1/24 kits other than poor finish/fit on chromed parts.
