Codi Posted November 7, 2020 Nice look Charlie..........and you're oh so right on dimensions (the lack of Ford) can't machine it if you don't have something sound to go by. I wish I had Dave's (comp1839) ability to draw accurate dimensions to work from. His look like something DaVinci would draw. Keep up the great work. charlie libby Posted November 7, 2020 i have a close friend that work on the wood brothers nascar team and he is trying to find out if there is any way to get drawings thru ford.if i have a really good picture and one dimension i can get pretty close.here is a few pictures of my valve covers so far. going to require a lot of filing and sanding. got to finish the front side of the heads and the exh. and intake ports. i have not decided on which intacke and carbs. fender well headers of course. AmericanMuscleFan Posted November 8, 2020 It's a very good job Charlie! The engine parts are absolutely beautiful. It's always fun to watch someone make an engine out of real metal and you do it right my friend! I love these BOSS valve covers! 👍
charlie libby Posted November 10, 2020 hi francis a little sanding and detail work i think they will look fine.got to finish the heads but am still looking at pictures and i think i have what i need.the timing cover and water pump is going to be tricky. if its half as nice as tims i will be excited. plug wire holders are going to be tough to hold on to to file and finish.i have some small diameter delrin on order to make the spark plug boots.i am going to a music store on thursday to check out some steel strings, thanks again. AmericanMuscleFan Posted November 28, 2020 WOW Charlie, this is serious work my friend! I love these carburetors and the tunnel ram looks very promising too! What did you used for the bellhousing, it looks like some Renshape or it's because the part has been painted?
