Nice start.  I practically almost have this kit complete. By my decals went bad on me.  Sitting in my drawer of shame for now

I used an old cell phone charging cord ,split it down the middle and cut to size.

Yah dig it out!!

Been working on one a little this week and about to get back at it. Narrowed the fenders on mine to look more like the speedway car.

That looks great so far. That wheel and tire you're using is only for mock up, right? That stencil and those style wheels are from a later time period. The best wheels are the 9-hole Bassets in the Monogram GM kits from the eighties.

Yup, the whole chassis is an old Ford buildup I now use for mockup.
