Behind the shop

Recommended Posts

Many of you have seen my shop diorama which consists of a garage/restoration shop, an engine rebuilding shop complete with dyno room and receiving area.

Later on I had used a photo of a local building to depict the front of the establishment.

Now I want to do a "behind the shop" scene loosely based on fellow member Geoffrey Wallace. A piece of plywood and the center panels of some cabinet doors provided the starting point. Gave a first coat of "cement" to the yard

Good start, Pat...... and this ' Behind the Shop ' diorama base looks a good size too. Looking forward to seeing your progress with this one.

It is about 14 X 30, to fit in the cabinet with the others.

Working on the roof overhang and the siding. the siding will be held in place by some two-sided tape.

Used the hooded bulletin board from one of the Fujimi garage sets to make a notice board. Added a fluorescent light to it. A couple of plugs, pins and beads will turn into lamps.
