modiol
I build this 1960 impala several years ago while I was testing a new brand of paint. It came out kind of lime green. My friend asked me if I painted it with a High Lighter pen, so I had to do something new. I repainted the Impala using Scale Finishes Cascade Green. I used Bare Metal Foil, and covered it with Tamiya TS13 clear coat. I sanded the seat inserts and printed a set of green decal inserts. I like the updated look.
minkos
The seat inserts look great! What kind of decal paper did you use?
doorsovdoon
Now that looks nice! The seat decals are great.

John Goschke
That is excellent! A kit that rarely gets built anymore, you've certainly done it justice!
yellowsportwagon
That is a much more appropriate color for that car! Well done

espo
Great looking redo and the new color looks much better. Nice to see some of these much older kits get a little love.
modiol
I just searched ebay for white Laser water slide decal paper. The paper I got is a generic decal paper, it didn't have a brand name

dimaxion
Great build ! The first paint job looks like the color of the Plastic in the '60 AMT Nomad JR Series re-pop I bought in the way back , The Cascade Green really makes this authentic . I did buy seat decals from Keith Marks for the '58 & '59 Impala MY's . He didn't list the '60 MY . I made a Copy paper replica for my Revelle '60 Impala . Your solution is quite unique and nicely done . I am limited to an Inkjet Printer . Kudos and stunning IMHO ..
