Built this one several years ago, the second in my roadster series.

Beautiful build Tim. The engine arrangement is definitely something else. What is the paint on it?

Thanks. The engine has a Latham Supercharger with manifolds to run the 6 carbs vertically. I have a pic of the 1:1 setup somewhere. Paint is Alclad Candy Yellow over Gold Base topped with LMG "Super Gold Pearl" & fogged "Orange Accent."

Old thread is here:

Some of the in progress pix aren't showing up. Trying to locate them.

Another old build from 2015 this time. Its box stock other thn the drilled axle but I tried to gve it a 60s look with the paint. Again it was damaged when i dropped it and the roadster but I have all the parts to rebuild it someday

The grey roadster was a personal challenge to come up with a deuce the way I would want one if I had the means. So this is the Revell roadster, channeled the width of the frame. The flathead that came in the sedn kit, and '39 Chevy headlights. The grill was made from two pick up truck rear fenders sandwiched together and then had slots cut. Wheels and tires from the Revell '29 Model A pickup. Paint is Duplicolor Graphite and Testors Wet Look Clear.

The blue one is a late 80's build when I was 18 or so. AMT kit, slightly lowered with an SBC.

It occurred to me that I hadn't added my most recent Deuce Roadster to this thread. from last September, it's a 50's style high-bucks channeled show rod. Like all my Deuce roadsters it's based on the Revell kits, this time with liberal use of my spare parts box.

Also, I left out couple of other builds from My Back Pages.

This is a representation of "The Deuce" from the original 1959 Trophy Series release box art, but done almost entirely with Revell parts. It's from November 2018.

And a quick-build from 2014, again from the Revell kits, this time almost straight OOB. Aptly named "Therapy" since it was a slump buster, it went together in less than a week, hence the black primer paint job.

Outstanding Claude ! You have a beautiful touch with Bonneville/dry lakes cars.

Thank you Wayne!

I love the "non over-organized" aspect of the lakes racing. One of the last basion of "amateur" motor sport. The amount of imagination and ingenuity these guys come up with always amazes me. I try my best to convey that in my yearly Bonneville cars... My latest one (a scratchbuilt streamliner) will be on this forum in a few days.

Hope you like it!

Here's a few I've built over the last 15 years. The first 3 are 1/8th, the last one I built recently as a model of the famous McGee Roadster. It's not an exact replica but close.

You definitely need to let someone make a resin copy of that roof. Seriously!

This is my most recent Deuce roadster built in preparations for the Deuce Days in Scale Model Car Show in Victoria BC Canada July 17. It is a tribute but not a total replica of the McMullen Deuce.

The only thing special about these 2 is they are 60 years old.  I am lucky to still have them in my collection.

I think that alone would make them pretty special. Very nicely done survivors.  I especially like the black one, but both are very, very cool.
