It’s bee. Brought to my attention that I have not built a Porsche in a while. Now on my main bench I bring you this.

engine mostly assembled at this point. Not sure what colour the car will be. Only have one can of paint left. And it’s a pearl green. Hmmmmm

This is still a popular kit.  Be careful with the fit of the engine into the chassis, at the back cross member, the two pins, with interference of the accessory belt.  Test fit before painting the chassis/body.  I was disappointed the intercoolers are missing.  Also be sure to putty the wing/bonnet joint.  Have fun!

Andre, your build will be a killer, its good advice from Kurt, the fit of the engine carrier is poor at the back, I had to dissassemble and cut bits off the frame to get it to fit.

I decided to go against filling the wing gaps, as i couldn;t see a good way to paint it when it's assembles, but it sure would look better filled.

Also, my bonnet lid was twisted

good luck, its a great kit!

Thanks guys .. I would like to build to Komfort Edition. the most common of the 959's . going to have to check if the kit comes with the driver side mirrors and full interior. and of course the special hydraulic suspension. if it dosnt have those bits it better have a roll cage then. but i dont see one. in the box when I last checked. Kinda bummed if i cant build a actual factory car. form the box

Cool. This may be next up for me so I'll enjoy watching. Really like the weathered effect on the engine, what did you use?

I can't really remember what I did. fluked out. I think I used a really thinned out flat Aluminum with some black and dabbed it on.

Starting sanding the mold lines.  Probably car will be painted a black pearl with red and silver interiors. 80’s style.

Could not resist.  Plus 2 outside. Had to spray.  Here she is fresh  out of my paint yard.

Crazy isn't it? December 20th, Great White North, and we can do stuff like this outside. My garage isn't heated, so I got some stuff quickly sprayed. Plus 4 here right now.

I like the colour you chose!
