crossfire 2004
I’ve had this one in the stash for quite some time and figured that our second lockdown was a good time to break it out. The multi piece body was not as bad as I was expecting and generally the fit was pretty good. The frame was modified to get the ride lower and it rolls on ‘53 Corvette wheels , tyres and caps. A Revell ‘48 custom donated most of its tuck and roll interior, rear fender skirts and grille. The hood and truck lid were both smoothed and much of the exterior trim and the vent windows were deleted. Paint is rattle can Ford Pepper Red Pearl followed by clear. Ramfins59
That's a cool looking Ford Stuart. Great job.
doggie427
Very clean build Stuart. Multi piece bodies always make things interesting but you’ve made a lovely model out of it. Now you have some leftover ‘46-‘47 trim pieces left over to put on a Revell ‘48. ??

alan barton
Wow, I didn't expect that! I have a couple of these in the stash - looks like it would be worth tackling! Did you attempt to hinge the doors? Cheers Alan

Cheers Alan I did intend to hinge the doors Alan but the sedan tuck and roll interior panels would have been ruined by cutting pockets for the huge kit hinges. I had tacked thin strips of Evergreen to hold the doors in place while working on it, and then just left them as the gaps were good.

cobraman
Very sharp model. Good job on what I thought was a tough kit. I had one many years ago. It did not go well.
