I was thinking full racing livery on that truck would be cool.

camaro69
Hey Anton, nice color on the Supra!!! And here´s my Impala - I call it finished now. First of all some pics of the things that were left to do... Parking brake... Navigation... (used the kits mounting hole for the laptop in the dash) Rear view mirror... street legal exhaust system (front parts out of styrene, the rest is 3d printed on my Anycubic)... Oil piping... Fuel lines and license plate... And now a little overview... Hope you´ll like it, Rico

camaro69
Anton and Anthony: Thanks for the kind words. I´m really happy how the Impala turned out after the lot of difficulties. The hardest part was to assemble the chassis to the body. @Mattilacken: Nice progress on the Supra. Model on. I like to see this finished. Mattilacken
Team #19 managed to salvage a set of old belts, first PÉ belts that I built 20 years ago, from the parts bin and adopt them to the seats. So they saved a week of time fiddling with buckels! Also made some minor wear marks to the wheel nuts.
Mattilacken
Interior is done ✔️ chassis done ✔️ Exterior and windows next. I was not sure on the decal on the gas tank but I will keep it. Decals for the belts was a pita..

I've wanted to own something with RHD ever since I went to an Auto Auction with my dad when I was 17, there was a 86-87 Monte Carlo SS with RHD. It was in great shape too. My aunt carried the mail for 30 years she always drove a mail carrier with RHD. She had Jeeps, a Subaru, and Toyotas... I was gonna buy the Subaru wagon from her after she got a new Jeep but the car was just too used up. It had 250,000 miles on it. I seen a 66 Chevy II for sale in our local bulletin board paper... it was an old postal delivery wagon... I thought about buying it but I passed on it. It had a 6cly and power glide. Anyways, RHD cars always fascinated me.

Yes it ads allot to it! several of my friends have had RHD cars, exclusively imports. Skylines, EVO 2, Supra’s and a Toyota Aristo, luxury 4 door Supra 😉 it always feel strange sitting on the “drivers “side without a steering wheel when you are a passenger.
slusher
On 9/27/2021 at 5:55 PM, Fat Brian said: Well, I'm calling it done. I need to put a license plate on it and get some better shots but this is what I've got. I started with the Revell Mustang GTO kit. My objective was to de-racify it to the point that it would look street legal enough to make it across the country. So, I had to re-open the headlights and grille that had been closed off and add back some headlights and turn signal. While not fully street legal due to no side markers on the front it's going to fool most officers. Then I wrapped it in a coat of Tamiya light gunmetal with Mr. Super Clear semi gloss top coat. Now it was time to focus on making it into a Cannonball car. I ditched the 305 race motor and swapped in a 2.2 liter Cosworth 4 cylinder from a Monogram IMSA Mustang which also donated it's wheels. I added a turbo for a few more ponies in my Pony along with an intercooler and piping. The kit was a single seater with the passenger side completely removed and the exhaust exiting out the door. I added the door bars from an old NASCAR and seats from the Revell 90 drag Mustang. The extra fuel tank is from a Ramminator monster truck kit. The slicks had to go and were replaced with tires from a Fujimi County Countach up front and two of the smaller rear tires from two Monogram sprint cars. Finally, the rear window louvres to hid the roll cage and rear firewall are from a Revell snap Mustang and the mirrors are from a Tamiya race Skyline. Excellent build! I really like what you’ve done!
