24 hr build--MPC The Super Judge Funny Car

Just finished the build of this kit for the 24 hr build-off. Built in 23 hours with 6 hours of sleep.

Nice looking kit but typical old MPC- plenty of flash and poor parts placement on the instructions. Painted with Testors Fiery Orange for the body and Testors Purple-Licious for the frame.

Had a blast being included in this build-off!

Not bad at all for a 24 hour build Tom. Cool subject too!!!

Thanks Joe!  I've enjoyed dipping my toe into the drag section lately. Just wish I knew more about the era.

That came out very nice!  It was fun building along in the Zoom room with you and Sam!

Thanks Tom! It was a very enjoyable time with everyone. Looking forward to doing it again.

Nice job, especially considering it is a 24 build!

Thank you Larry! It was quite a simple build. Only had one hiccup with a huge paint run along the driver's side rear fender. Had to take a little extra time to wet sand it out and start over on the paint.

Part of the fun of the 24 Hour Build is the unexpected! You never know when you will encounter an obstacle.. and more likely since you are moving fast!

But like I’ve always said, it’s not how you screw it up, it’s how you recover!
