Hi Anton, I used several light coats of Tamiya “smoke”. Do some tests on a spare set of wheels. From my experience, the key is several light coats, if you try to go thick the results aren’t as good. It is a bit tricky to get it even on the deeper offset, but with your skill, definitely doable. By the way, where did those wheels come from? I didn’t see that in the thread, I really like them.

Cheers, Steve

Okay, thanks for the tips will buy a Tamiya smoke and decan it and have a go. 🙂

they are from the Tamiya Porsche GT2, race car have slicks and the street version have some nice meats. Thing is that I used lips from my PB, probably from a aoshima wheel set can’t remember which, and made the Porsche fronts as rears with the lip and the Porsche rears as the Silverado fronts. The tires are a mix, used some tires with enough side wall and cut 3pcs apart to make 2 tires. The front tires came with Pegasus “19 T’s I Can show a picture later when I am at home.

Here is the recipe as mentioned above , Porsche 911 GT2 front wheels with a extra deep dish from some “18 Aoshima wheel kit. Rear tires are 225/50R16 🤪cut a part to get the width and stretched over a “18 wheel. Front wheels are the rear wheels from the Porsche.

Bought some 3D printed parts for my builds.. here is a quick mock-up of the intake and planed placement for the turbos. These turbos won’t be used I think there will be an other set.

this intake looks so good so I will use this instead of my own thought out piece!
And thanks @Ghost_33for hooking me up!

Made some changes to the base engine. I won’t use the original intake so I used plastic strip to make the inside of the cylinder heads. Also used the 3d printed valley pan.
made my second intake cut a bit better so it retained more height which suits the tall truck body well.

Reworked the front part of the frame tonight. And the corvette supports actually fits and will “support” the “carbon fiber” bumper and grill perfectly! Some finishing touches to the frame work will be made. I also beefed up the main profiles to 2mm which would be a 50mm pipe.. dot know if I like it in these pictures, irl it looks ok, or maybe I shall remake my work in 1,6 😂D85B87B2-49AA-4E18-AA95-0008AB5D945B.thumb.jpeg.17f16f192735c2cc6da3cd2d5cfc618b.jpeg

So I remade the previous work done in 2mm tubing out of the original corvette tubing which is 1,8mm. I made it with straight tubes without bends since the corvette chassi was made in that way. I also put back the resevoars for the front chocks.

To be able to engineer the truck as I want I had to cut some.. I cut out the rear wall of the cab and engineered it back to the chassis. This is to be able to fabricate the cage.

Thanks! I appreciate you looking in and leaving a comment! It takes allot of time to try to reuse as much as possible of the original kit.
