Nick Notarangelo
How many of you use and color in the car or truck body on the instruction sheet to help you figure out how your going to paint it?
SCRWDRVR
I’ve never had an issue just picturing it in my head but that is a creative way to handle it, never thought of doing that though...
cobraman
I did it a couple of times to work out a graphic design.
espo
I'll use a plastic picnic spoon for testing. This way you know what the color will look like and the rounded shape lets you see how it looks at different angles.
Exotics_Builder
I scan mine (or pull down a PDF copy) and try options on my computer if I am trying graphics, unsure of body color or deciding on multitone paint jobs. Usually, though, I find photos of the 1:1 in different color combinations and select from that
Shardik
I've never done this for body color or graphics, but I will often go through the instructions and color code all the parts that get a particular paint treatment, such as; all steel parts, all aluminum parts etc... This helps ensure that I don't have to go back and set the airbrush back up for that color.
