Mercury Comet Post yours

Lots of work on this by my standards. Its not a perfectly clean build but then again neither was the real car. Mobeus kit with modified Revell Thunderbolt top, Lots of parts box and resin pieces, It was a challenge and It was rough in places but it sure was fun. I enjoyed building the model almost as much as the real car.

Wow, some really NICE models in this thread! Thanks all for sharing them!

I'd never realized before that Mercury used the Comet name on their versions of three different Ford lines--Fairlane, Falcon, and Maverick. Of course I knew this, I just never thought about it before. B)

Originally, the Comet was going to be an Edsel.

Interesting, that brings up some possibilities for a cool what-iffer! Also, that 60 Comet above made me wonder if the tail lights are interchangeable with the 1960 Edsel; they look quite similar.

When the first Moebius Comet came out, I was looking forward to building the Dyno Don car. Before realizing an A/FX version would be coming out,  I modded the fender wells, and added a cammer, engine to this one. Now I have several Beswick, and Nicholson Comets in my stash.
