Nothing fit well, a lot of hours spent on bodywork, paint is tamiya TS-53, mirrors and tires are from parts box because those were in the kit they were total garbage. Tommy124 Posted March 3, 2021 Share Posted March 3, 2021 I'm afraid I have this kit ("10th Anniversary Trans Am") by MPC still in my stash somewhere. I like the look of the '79 Bird over the '77/'78, so I'll probably build it one day. You did well on this one. Have you entertained building this from MPC in 1/16 scale? I just saw that kit the other day and passed, however maybe you would be interested? Your interior detail is nice. Great color choice and a nice paint job, I did mine in Icy Blue with basically the same color interior as yours. I bought a new '79 (also black but red interior) back in the day and it was a fun car but with the 403 Olds engine was no hot rod !!! I have another one of these kits with a second set 20" Snowflakes like the ones on my Blue '79 T/A i did a couple of years ago and this is what I'm doing with them.
