W-409
Really nicely done Thunderbolt! When I built mine a few years ago I also lifted the front suspension to about the same height as yours. Made a big difference in the overall appearance. You did an excellent job on this T-Bolt. Makes me want to build another.

Makes me want to build another. When I decided to build another, I bought quite a few super stock decals to build many cars, and finally ended up with 16 T Bolts. I understand some builders don’t like building the same cars over again, but hands down it’s my favorite race car of that era. Always being a GM guy in my own drag racing days, I learned more about these cars most recently just from info on this and other forums. Ford and Mopar are now my favorites. Just wondering how things would have turned out if Chevy never pulled the plug on their drag racing program?
MackT
That's a beautiful build. Your chrome work is outstanding. Did you use bare metal foil? I've seen some Molotow pen work that looks great also.

Mainly Fords and Mopars for me too, but do love them all regardless of make. Yeah it would have been interesting to see what Chevy would've come up with. All the chrome was done with BMF, a tedious job that I never really look forward to doing but love seeing the results. I have used Molotow pens on other builds as well and have been pretty happy with the outcomes.
shoopdog
I keep coming back to admire this great looking build, but could someone please explain the exhaust setup with the one pipe coming off one header.

Thanks Keith, sorry about not getting to reply sooner. The way I understand it, since the super stock rules required cars to have a factory style exhaust in place ( though I don't think it had to be hooked up to the headers), Ford decided to put in place a single exhaust pipe instead of duals in a weight savings move. The kit does come with a crossover pipe for between the headers but I decided to leave it off.
