Friends, the heat has come. The brain is melting, but the hands are doing.

It's time for the interior.

Door cards in all their glory, until they are closed by seats.

And dashboard.

Well, assembled.

Yes, I know, the flock is big. Let me down this time with a nail flock with Aliexpress. But now you can clearly see it on a bare bath, and in the assemble it will be practically invisible.

That's all for now. 🤠

Good evening friends.

Time to start new build.

We take out the already opened rare boxes from the stash.

10th generation T-Bird, aka Thunderbird. Slightly modified, modernized for the needs of the very beginning of the 90s, similar to the 1987 I just finished.

IMG_5826.JPG.a73f5d77f3b722fea75d2bd322d4faf6.JPG

The box is exactly the same size as the last one from Monogram. But here the 25th scale already appears. Although, for me, the same thing, it is not clear at all why all these Revellogram games should be produced under different companies, essentially similar whales, possibly cast on the same molds. Anyway. Go ahead.

Again we are offered to build a runoff and aero. Again, the stock in this case looks more attractive to me.

A little more information. It's nice, after all, to hold a 1990 whale in your hands.

Manual, almost A3 size in full spread.

By the way, both in terms of filling and addition - 1 in 1, like the monogram had, except that this time they got smarter and started assembling, like all normal people from the engine.

Decals.

Chrome.IMG_5832.JPG.7ec8d34f97fb741ae1a762f5d63d33d9.JPG

The rubber is exactly 1: 1, like the version on the 24th scale from Monogram. I'll have to compare later when I build both. I am sure the size will be the same.

Back lights and stop light from the back of interior.

Here, of course, the guys who make molds of this kit make pissed me off. Reverse (these gills are closer to the license plate) should be in transparent plastic. I don’t know yet what I’ll do about it, but I’ll definitely do something. If laziness doesn't prevail.

Glass.

And aero version.

Body.

IMG_5839.JPG.c89b4419af3012934cfbd83d6eb6ead5.JPG

This time, everything is much more ordinary.

IMG_5840.JPG.f899b822b9ac52ebb398cca299dc5ee6.JPG

In the engine bay, almost everything is again cast with a body.

The next sprue.

And one more.

From all this I can note the steering wheel. It's very good!

Sprue with undercarriage and suspension parts.

And the last big sprue.

The front seats are very cool.

So are the door cards.

And the dashboard too.

Traditionally started with a favorite - the engine).

I cut everything off the sprues. Where is the chrome needed. By the way, in this particular box the chrome was washed off in a couple of minutes. I love it when it turns out that way, you don't have to wait for hours.

This is what we have.

Everything was processed and prepared for priming and subsequent painting work. I drilled holes for wires and hoses where needed.

Of the improvements, I replaced the ignition coil, because what was given in the set is not very similar to it both in size and shape.

On the left - it was, on the right - it was.

And EGR for connecting the exhaust to the carburetor system.

By the way, my beloved wife is actively involved in my modeling life and often offers very good and non-standard artistic options. We discussed with her what color scheme the future T-Bird will be. I said that I want to paint it in white pearl from Tamia, because just pure white, as according to the canon, it is boring for me, but I really like white mother-of-pearl itself, I have long wanted to collect it in this color.

My wife and I thought about the body and came to the conclusion that such a interior would go well with white.

And my wife offered to make a small revision on the body, taking the 35th anniversary edishon paint scheme as a sample.

But adapt it to our wishes.

I figured it out quickly in Photoshop. It looks interesting. And we agreed.

Naturally, I just roughly figured it out, but it will work to understand the image. The thresholds will be in the interior color, but under the 2к clear.

I made one more detail in addition to everything attached to the engine.

I do not know what this detail is called, I will be grateful if you can tell me.

Well, I processed the undercarriage and suspension parts.

In general, so far the impressions of working with this set are twofold. The white plastic itself is soft and pliable, it is easy to work with it, but the amount of flash and displacement infuriates. In the past, the bird from Monogram did not have this.

That's all for now.😎

That part you're asking about is the TFI module, the letters FRI stand for Thin Film Ignition. On vehicles with conventional distributors it mounts on the side of the distributor body.
