Fictional ad in early 80s Local Newspaper:

For Sale: 1968 Dodge D800 Dump Truck; New Paint, New Tires, New Side Boards, New Tailgate Chains. 361 V8 engine runs strong, low mileage, smokes a little. 4 speed trans with two speed axle. This truck is solid and ready to work. Call for price.

Special thanks to Charles Rowley who sent me the correct hood for this build as the hood that came with it was wrong.

Very nice, Brian - I especially like the freshly painted over dump body with its numerous dents and bumps !

Thanks! It’s meant to represent a fresh paint job on an old body to make it ready to sell.

Very impressive build! Looks like a ex. Dept. of Forestry dump, has a very capable and  heavy duty look. When these  style Dodge cabs become readily available, it will be on my buy list.

Thanks! This one showed up on Ebay. Charles mastered it as a W500.  I’m not sure who the caster was and if I am not mistaken, Charles no longer has the masters. There is a 66 300 on there now, but the fender flares might need to be widened, depending on what kind of build you were going for.

Beautiful build Brian, despite the fact that it is an old '68 it will still provide years of good and loyal service to the next owner, it is obvious that it has been very well maintained! These old work horses are unstoppable!!! 👌

Thanks Francis for all of the kind words and encouragement!

I like the color, and that’s right, it does look like an ex-Forestry Service truck. Excellent all around.

 Thanks again Vincent!
