Mack LJX Dump truck.

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have started 2 trucks together a LJX & B61 (.The B61 will have it`s own topic). Both frames are from AITM i cut & swopped the ends over, The cut was supported with a piece of aluminium epoxied in a groove then filled with car body filler, This was so the LJX had the heavier suspension  supplied with the B61 frame, Working from pic off the web,  I shortened the hood on the LJX  then everything was drilled & fitted with pins before final gluing in place after painting.

Hi, Thanks for great comments, Had some decent weather so managed to get some spraying done & the frame ready for the bodywork. The frame is cherry red, Body & cab will be solid racing green, The ram is from AMT with a car aerial for the extending bit, The stack is humbrol polished steel, Dump body will be a modified montone also from AMT, The black rod is to support the body when raised.  Wheels are from AITM.
