I'm a nerd and pretty much only watch boring TV

Science Channel

History Channel (Forged in Fire and all of the How America was Built type series)

Smithsonian Channel (Aerial America is great)

Motortrend ( Almost anything, might like cars a little bit, lol)

Old Tv shows that were before my time or grew up with (MASH and Happy Days are my favs)

Other than that it might be youtube, lots of good modeling channels out there, might start my own channel soon

My wife usually has the remote which results in hours of Forensic Files, still not convinced shes not learning how to make me disappear!

Looking forward to binging the 7th and final season of Bosch this weekend.     I do watch a lot of UK content on Prime streaming channels (Brit Box, Acorns, PBS, etc), and a couple shows I've been watching recently are Doc Martin and another called Secret Gardens of England.... gardening/landscaping shows are very relaxing after a long day staring at computer screens...and Doc Martin is a neat little comedy drama with a  'big city doctor in small town fish out of water' premise, kind of reminds me of Northern Exposure...set in a beautiful Cornwall seaside village.

Relax, that's a real thing--evidently a whole lot of women really enjoy real murder/true crime porn for some unknown reason. If Oprah herself ever decides to host a true crime show, the other networks might as well shut their doors.

THIS!

The only show I've watched that I describe as my favorite. First run, second run, bought the box set when it finally came out years later. Then fiancee got hooked and we watched again.

I've never been a fan of TV dramas at all, and there are very few sitcoms that I'll watch, especially in the past 20 years.

If I had to pick one "favorite" television show, it would have been "All in the Family".

Other than that, I enjoy some of the "reality" police shows like "Cops", and I enjoyed "Live PD" until A&E caved in to the woke crowd and cancelled it.

I guess it's no longer acceptable to see what law enforcement does on a day to day basis.

Lord knows we wouldn't want to "trigger" anybody.

Other than that, I enjoy a good documentary when you can actually find a good one, and the remainder of my TV time is spent watching the occasional "crime documentary" on ID or HLN.

Alias Smith and Jones, especially the Pete Duel ones.

The Onedin Line (may not have reached far outside the UK, it was a drama centred on personal intrigue, rivalries and affairs set in the Tall Ships era)

Monty Pythons Flying Circus

M*A*S*H

Fawlty Towers

Dad's Army

Bonanza

And what do we have nowadays...?

I was one of those weirdos that loved Monty Python too, and Fawlty Towers was a hoot!

It was one of my dad's favorite shows.

I guess most anything with John Cleese in it was pretty good. ^_^

Firefly

Buffy

The West Wing

Blackadder (seasons 2,3 and especially 4)

Leverage

Hustle

Coupling (how you get completely logically to the show ending punch line: “I’m holding the keys to paradise in my hand and I’ve got one too many legs”)

Lupin

Drive to survive

Phineas and Ferb

Black Books

The Avengers

best,

M.

I like the older shows more than anything. I did watch Seinfeld & ER back when they were primetime though!

In no particular order-

Route 66

Hunter (works for me) - had a big thing for McCall, and still do!

M*A*S*H

Rockford Files

Cannon

Adam-12

Magnum PI - the original version

Hawaii Five-O - the original version

Macguyver -    the original version

The Office

I don't think you're weird - I like those shows too. There are many others here enjoying British comedies.

Flowery Twats was a brilliant show - too bad there are only 12 episodes.  Of course this type of a show (just like All In The Family) could never be produced today.

Firefly

Finally someone mentioned Firefly, best show of all time! I run through my box set, and the Serenity movie, and of course all the extras, about every four years. Come to think of it, I'm about due! Can't stop the signal! B)

Surprised no one here has brought up Benny Hill or Mr. Bean.

Star Trek: The Next Generation, but I'll watch anything that's Star Trek. All In The Family is timeless and will never go out of style, the same for Maude, the Jeffersons and Good Times. Golden Girls as well and I love a lot of the 1950's and 1960's shows, especially Perry Mason. I'm sorry that I haven't mentioned any more recent or current TV shows, I know of none that has the quality of the older ones. Plus, most of the time I watch my DVD's and VHS tapes anyway.

On man! I loved Benny Hill when I was in High School.  I have watched Mr. Bean, but for some reason I find it a bit too silly sometimes.

But I like Are You Being Served, and Keeping Up Appearances.  I also liked to watch One Foot In the Grave, but I have not seen that one for years. Vicar Of Dibbley was also a funny show I have not seen for years.

It's a pity.  Repeats of TV and radio shows are now preceded over here by warnings such as  "this show contains attitudes and references of the time", in case any sensitive souls are offended.  🤬

I find that a lot of the TV I enjoyed when I was young doesn't stand up as well now, but I still love Fawlty Towers and Reggie Perrin.

And I'm *VERY* offended by the extreme steps we take today not to offend anyone!

Nobody has mentioned "Just Shoot Me" or "News Radio", the latter had the best cast of any sitcom ever.....

I enjoyed both of those when they were on, but IIRC neither lasted that long. Interestingly, both featured SNL members in their casts.

Me too! One of the best series EVER! Though the cinematography and plot of The Expanse had me riveted for the 4 seasons I got to watch. Stargate The Universe was good as well.
