cobraman
Used the Revell Matt Hayes kit . I had some problems with this kit but it could have been me and not the kit . Just finished it this morning . Not at all happy with it but here it is with all its warts . The black trim really gave me fits and I didn’t do a very good job on it . Tried first with a black marker but that did not work too good so I used Tamiya bottle paint . Painted with Tamiya yellow and cleared with Duplicolor 1k clear . cobraman
Yikes ! One of my worst . I'm breaking it down for parts.
Claude Thibodeau
Hi Ray! Don't be too hard on yourself. This is a finnicky kit, and don't ask me how I know. What is the saying, already? "Let's have fun"... Just one more to add to your lurning curve! CT
cobraman
Thanks Claude. It, or some of it is now in my parts box. 😀
SickBoy
Meh, just a model, don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure we all have a model oops hanging around somewhere. Hope you saved the engine and intake setup, that looked great!
slusher
I don’t see nothing much wrong with it..
Dragonhawk1066
I don't know, the color kind of grows on ya combined with the decals. Rub it up and get it a little dirty and it could be a neglected former show winner from it's heyday. I would love to have a couple of these kits myself, one as the actual car and one with a little imagination added.
cobraman
Thanks fellows. The parts will live on in another hopefully better model.
Metalbeast
Looked ok to me but what do I know. 😂 I remember building the Lincoln MKVIII LSC years ago, same kit with a shrunken Lincoln body, and I recall it being "a fun one" if you know what i mean. John B.
Don't sweat it - all of us, I'm sure, have had a project or projects that finished well under expectations. I know that I have. At least you had the stones to post it.
Kodiak Island Modeler
I was thinking how cool it looked; like a barn find. It's a shame to find that it has been dismantled.
Oldcarfan27
I see no problems from here. Looks great to me.
