bob terry
Hey all. Hope everyone is safe. I've been looking at the dutch truck modelers fotki. I have seen pics of semi trucks with trailers in clear display cases. Anyone know where these can be found? I've found custom made ones, but they are north of $200 bucks. I'd like to avoid that if possible. Thanks for any help. BobbyT
GoodbuildNY
I’d like to know also. I’ve been waiting to build some of my trucks because I haven’t found a large enough case without a huge price tag.
Zippi
Have you seen these display cases? Don't know if it's the size your looking for but it shows a semi truck in one of the cases. cobraman
Those look like they are for 1/64 scale and not 1/25 scale if that is what he needs.
bob terry
Correct Cobra Man. Pioneer plastics make very good cases. I've bought several. They don't make them large enough for a 1/25th truck and trailer together though.
EngineerBob
Consider used Lawyers Bookcases; I see them on Craigslist for around $
Tom Geiger
Or an old China cabinet.. here's mine. I added an extra shelf between each that came with the cabinet. These are out there cheap to free!
Chuckyg1
Another option. I picked this up from a jewelry store going out of business for $100. This one lights up and has storage underneath.
bob terry
Thanks all for your suggestions. I would like to use them all. My house doesn't have enough space though. Too many model kits packed in plastic totes. That lawyer book case though, hmmmmm. Stay safe everyone. cobraman
I buy my cabinets at thrift stores . I paid 40 for my cheapest , 200 for the most expensive . A couple of mine are converted from gun cabinets which I just added the shelves .

Someone bought the rest of the set, didn't want the cabinet. It's seven feet tall, fortunately I have nine foot ceilings! I paid them $50 to deliver it. Paid $180 to add the glass shelves. Monies well spent! I also have an older and shorter China cabinet upstairs in the model room, another freebie! It was left behind in a house my sister bought. bh1701
This is from Ikea. I think it was around $200. Has the option to add LED lights to the top of the case. This is what it originally looked like; I later had a couple of extra glass shelves made to display more models. Bart
