I started doing Dick Trickles #84 Miller High Life car (his rookie car) but have had back issues with the decals. Anybody have a set? I could even work with the ones from the #8 or #12. This is the car.

As Dave asked what issues are you having with the JNJ decals?

I've used some JNJ'S that were over 20 years old on oval track slot cars without problems.

I usually clear coat them before I use them with Krylon acrylic clear. Usually 2 light coats will do it. Let the decals gas out for a couple of days.
Do NOT use a lacquer clear as it is way to hot and will even damage new decals

i've never used the Micro Sol but have had good results with the Krylon acrylic clear.

As a decal manufacture for 40 years.....decals that fail can be for many reasons. If they are exsposed to heat, cold, humidity can cause failure....or even when they were printed.  Just old is not always an issue.

I’ve put many old ones on with no issues, I recently got these from someone that had them for a while but I have no clue how they were stored, I tried a small one and it just fell apart so I coated them with no luck… Just works that way sometimes I guess…
