Painted Black
Well like I really need another project on the bench!! I do need a tow/pusher for my rail that I'm building, this will more than likely be a long term build, so stay tuned.
Zippi
That's a good looking Ford truck already so anything you do to it will be icing on the cake. I'll keep tabs on this one.

espo
That's a good looking bumper. I have done a couple in the past but with a wood finish on the push surface. The cut up old tire surface would prevent some paint damage in real life. Many many years ago I used a traffic sensor that I got from the Highway Dept. scrap heap. This is when the sensors were a metal plate that a cars front tires would rest on to trigger a traffic light change. The back side had about a half inch of hard rubber that would be facing the roadway bed and was bonded to the steel plate. We would get these for next to nothing and cut to size, then attach mounting brackets to mount to the front bumper or frame.

Rust-Oleum gets a bad rap but I think their 2X flat gray primer sprays out great. I use it all the time.

Tom Geiger
Since this is one of my favorite kits I’ll go first! I like it! Very nice patina over a very typical color. Unique grille treatment too
espo
I agree with Tom on the patina finish. I like the chrome accents you added to the grill. Those areas are just raised ridges on the OEM grill but what you did adds a new look to the grill that looks like something that should have been done. Misha
Here is an example of a push bar on my Chev pickup. It’s scratch built out of plastic with a strip of balsa pinned to it. Cheers Misha
